The Minimum Wage Commission (made up of equal numbers of representatives from employers’ associations and trade unions) has decided to raise the statutory minimum wage by 4% from 8.84 euros to 9.19 euros per hour. This increase will become legally binding through a corresponding legal ordinance.

In the case of marginal employment relationships (so-called mini-jobs), it should be noted from 2019 that, as a result of the increase in the minimum wage, working hours may have to be reduced accordingly so that the limit of 450 euros is not exceeded.
